Jonathan (Suhjun) Min, DDS
Dr. Jonathan (Suhjun) Min has been practicing dentistry for over seven years alongside Dr. Lee now and is proud to be a co-owner and general dentist at The Dental Place in 2019. He enjoys helping his patients feel confident in their smiles and comfortable in the dental chair. He’s also passionate about helping change the way people think about going to the dentist by showing them that it can be a calm, pleasant, and positive experience. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Min decided to become a dentist after participating in medical and dental mission trips to Uganda and the Congo in 2008. During the trip, he worked alongside a dentist whose compassion and dedication deeply inspired him. Seeing how dentistry could bring relief, restore dignity, and make a meaningful difference, especially in underserved communities, made it clear to him that this was the path he wanted to pursue.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Min attended Trinity Western University for his undergraduate studies and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He is committed to continuing education and stays current with modern techniques to deliver comfortable and high-quality dentistry by attending renowned institutes like Spear. His approach to care emphasizes patient comfort, clear communication, and long-term oral health. Dr. Min is an active member of the American Dental Association as well as the Texas Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Min met Dr. Lee in 2015 when they were in dental school, and the rest is history! Their family includes Lily, their maltipoo who is like a daughter to them. Whenever Dr. Min isn’t at the dental office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Lee, and their dog, and serving at his church. He also likes watching and playing soccer with his friends and spending time in nature to recharge and relax. One of Dr. Min’s latest interests has been in technology and AI. He loves staying up-to-date with advancements in his field and learning how technology can help improve his patients’ experiences and comfort.
